Named after Uncle Bill's Market

There's a weekend of fun not too far away. I like it because the name, Interzone, comes from William Burrough's dystopia future market - sometimes seen as a description of the internet before it existed, although with added sexy young men and dangerous weapons. Other people will enjoy the line up of artists and the promise of  "exploring the boundaries of perception through synaesthesic installations of sound, light, video and performance."
It is at The Whisky Bond and stars a cast that includes Rachel MacLean, fresh from her stand out film at Entre Chien et Loup, mayhem inducing Jack Wrigley and The Korovox Action Group (I bet that's something to do with noise artist Lea Cummings, one of the most vigorous performers in Scotland and a thoroughly charming man). The Bond itself is an old warehouse that is gradually being transformed into studios, and this all action spectacular is going to happen on the fifth floor, which isn't being used at the moment.

At the least, it is a chance to see a space that has been hidden away,  a vestige of industrial Glasgow before it gets all done up pretty, like.
