What was the inspiration for this performance?
. WRESTLING MANIA: My writing partner and I are huge wrestling fans!
. FIRST ACTRESS: The idea for this stemmed from a screenplay I'm writing.

Is performance still a good space for the public discussion of ideas?

How did you become interested in making performance?

Through studying Drama as a GCSE, A-Level, BA, MA and now PhD.
Is there any particular approach to the making of the show?
Writing the scripts (rather than ‘devising’ them) and then adapting through rehearsal.

Does the show fit with your usual productions?
. WRESTLING MANIA: Aside from the wrestling link, no.
. FIRST ACTRESS: Aside from it being an appropriation of a 'real life' story, no.

What do you hope that the audience will experience?
. WRESTLING MANIA: A very funny production.
. FIRST ACTRESS: A kind of love story that they won't be expecting.

What strategies did you consider towards shaping this audience experience?
. WRESTLING MANIA: Trusting my own sense of humour.
. FIRST ACTRESS: Lots of research into Restoration theatre.
