Libertines and Femme Fatales. From Paris’ red light district, Glasgow’s underworld, Dorian Gray’s London, New Orleans’ Storyville, the fleshpots of Europe.
Tina Warren, is the serene and classy woman behind the event. “Forbidden Fruit can mean many different things. Madonna and Rihanna have turned fetish into pop culture and made it more approachable. Agent Provocateur has made handcuffs classy not seedy. There’s now an Ann Summers on every high street, where buying sex toys is as easy as buying shoes. But Forbidden Fruit isn’t just about bondage and leather. Think of the storyline in Rita Hayworth’s 1946 film Gilda where she purrs “Hate is a very exciting emotion”. Or think Prohibition New York. Your best friend’s girl. Opium dens. The son of a preacher man. Club Noir’s event will cover the gamut of forbidden fruits. When we first unveiled this there was a frisson of excitement. It’s a Valentines theme that really appeals to people.”
This is Club Noir’s 11th year of putting on spectacular events. They know their audience through and through and never fail to guarantee an extra special Valentines night.
Enter a world of decadence. Walkabout acts create an indulgent ambience. Dominatrices. A St Andrews cross you can tie the apple of your eye to . Pin-Ups Parlour to create your vintage look. Latex clad French Maid to polish and preen. Wish Gimp you can whisper your forbidden fruit desires to. Don’t worry, she won’t tell anyone - she can’t speak. All this done in typical Club Noir style - world-class acts but always with a smile and a wink.
