Here's What A Gay Play: the title is enough to put me off, but there are photos available of the cast with their taps aff, so I guess there's seven good reasons to see it. As a snapshot of where theatre is at, this Gay Play is neither a serious 'issue based drama', nor feels the need to present itself as challenging the heteronormative hierarchy. The poster has a cheeky angle on the male gaze, I guess...

What a Gay Play @ C
The Fringe isn't really the Fringe anymore - despite the overall optimism of the productions that hit Edinburgh in August, the Fringe is less a collection of challenging alternatives (plenty of the EIF's choices are more experimental) but a trade market overview of the contemporary theatre.
